Worth1000 will be down tonight, August 7th at 3 AM EDT for several hours as we upgrade our hardware. Nothing will change as far as site users are concerned, just the happiness in the knowledge that we'll have more image storage capacity.
Fantasy Series: Advanced Dungeons and Dragons Monsters!
Dungeons and Dragons (or Advanced Dungeons and Dragons for those of you who have been keeping up) is an incredibly popular fantasy roleplaying game that has been around since the 1970s. Over that time it has been populated with hundreds and hundreds of fantastic monsters such as the Bugbear, the Sahuagin, the Dracolich
and the Beholder.
Your task in this contest is to create an image of a fantastical creature from the Advanced Dungeons and Dragons game, or any other roleplaying game. If it is not a well known creature you might like to link to a description of it.
You may not use any fantasy/sci fi images as sources for this contest, whether from films, paintings or wherever. Your creature must be put together from mundane source photos.
As fantasy art is rarely photographic in nature all images are "to be judged on consistent style not necessarily photorealism", the goal of the contest is to create cool art, not a hoax. As always, have fun, be creative!, follow the guidelines please, and be careful to avoid using any cliches. You will have 48 hours to submit so make your entry count!

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who pitched in during our recent fund drive.
You can find the completed list of all 600 Worth1000 supporters here, and in our site navigation on the bottom of every page on Worth1000 (in the community list). Gifts for the different levels are now being finalized.
Things are moving amazingly quick now and we have some very exciting things planned for this summer. We couldn't have done it without everyone's help.
We filled our quota with the help of you all. I can't thank each and everyone of you enough - you all rock and I'm humbled that you responded the way you did.
